Then there is a nearby Geysir with all the facilities a traveler might need, or you can even base yourself in the capital city. There is either a superb hotel close to the waterfall that gives you a chance to enjoy Gullfoss when the crowds leave. When traveling the Golden Circle, there are several options where to stay overnight. It would be a big mistake not to include it in your Iceland itinerary.
